• A facial is a skincare treatment that typically involves cleansing, exfoliating, and nourishing the skin on the face.

It is designed to improve the overall appearance and health of the skin by addressing specific concerns such as acne, dryness, or signs of aging.

  • To prepare for your facial, there are a few simple steps you can take:

Make sure not to shave or tweeze any facial hair at least 72 hours before your facial appointment. You want to avoid using exfoliating products such as retinol, glycolic, etc. in the week leading up to your facial. Avoid prolonged sun exposure before and after your facial. If possible, bring a list of the skincare products you currently use.

  • The frequency of facial treatments depends on your individual skin type, concerns, and goals.

Generally, it's recommended to have a professional facial every 4 to 6 weeks. This timeframe allows your skin to complete its natural rejuvenation cycle while addressing specific issues like acne, aging, or dryness.

  • Everyone can benefit from a facial, even men!

If it's your first time getting a facial, then we always recommend the Roman Esthetics Signature Facial to start with. Even though all facials are customized to your skin concerns, if you book a facial that isn't right for you, your esthetician will recommend a different treatment and explain to you the reasons why.

  • At Roman Esthetics, we believe your facial should feel like a full spa experience, without surprise charges.

Unlike many places that upcharge for every add-on, our facials include premium treatments at no extra cost, such as:

    • An eye treatment

    • LED red light therapy

    • 5-minute Facial lymphatic drainage

    • An enzyme treatment (included with dermaplane facials)

The only upgrade we offer is an optional paraffin hand treatment.

If you’d like to add a chemical peel after your facial, there will be an additional charge—but we’ll always discuss that with you beforehand.

You’ll never be left guessing what your facial will cost. The price you see when you book is the price you’ll pay.

DERMAPLANING

  • Dermaplaning is an exfoliation technique that involves using a sterile surgical scalpel to gently scrape away dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (commonly known as "peach fuzz") from the surface of the skin.

This technique helps to reveal smoother, brighter skin and can enhance the effectiveness of skincare products by allowing them to penetrate more deeply.

  • No, dermaplaning will not make the hair on your face grow back thicker or darker.

The vellus hair (peach fuzz) that is removed during dermaplaning will grow back at the same rate and texture as before. Since dermaplaning only targets the surface of the skin and does not affect the hair follicles, it does not have any impact on the growth or color of the hair.

  • It is not uncommon for your skin to break out after receiving a facial.

The process of stimulating the skin will bring impurities to the surface, making you skin purge. This is temporary and doesn't happen to everyone.

HYDRAFACIAL

  • A HydraFacial is a non-invasive skincare treatment that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and antioxidant protection all in one.

It uses a hand piece with detachable tips, to deeply cleanse and hydrate the skin while removing dead skin cells, debris, and impurities.

  • For best results, it’s recommended to get a HydraFacial every 4 to 6 weeks. Regular treatments help maintain clear, hydrated skin and can improve long-term skin health.

  • Nope! There is zero downtime.

You can return to your normal activities immediately after the treatment. Some clients may experience slight redness or tightness, but it typically fades within a few hours.

  • You’ll notice an immediate improvement in your skin’s texture, tone, and hydration.

Skin looks plumper, cleaner, and more radiant after just one session.

  • Great question! At Roman Esthetics, our HydraFacials are unique because we approach them like a full spa facial experience.

We include dermaplaning with every HydraFacial at no additional cost. You’ll also enjoy all the pampering touches you’d expect from a traditional facial such as, facial massage, décolleté massage, a customized mask, and an eye mask.

We’ve designed our HydraFacials to deliver all the glow-boosting benefits of the HydraFacial technology, while still giving you the relaxing spa experience you love.

HYDRAFACIAL

  • For our acne clients, we perform a series of gentle chemical peels combined with thorough extractions.

Each client follows a customized skincare regimen, carefully selected and purchased through us, along with specific lifestyle adjustments to support long-term, clear skin results.

  • Yes, because without the recommended products and life-style changes, you will not be able to manage your acne.

The product works in conjunction with the treatment to give you the best results possible. If you don’t use the recommended home-care, then your treatment will be unsuccessful

  • f you are using the recommended products, and being 100% compliant with it and with recommended lifestyle changes, you can get clear.

It will just take a little longer to get you there.

  • It varies from person to person.

Most of our clients that have gone through the Acne Bootcamp, come in once every 4-6 weeks for a maintenance treatment. But they are still 100% compliant with their at home skincare routine.

CHEMICAL PEELS

  • A chemical peel is a form of skin exfoliation that help shed the stratum corneum (the outer most layer of the skin).

  • Your peel is still working, even if you do not see your skin peeling.

Even though your skin is not visibly peeling, it is still working. It is easy to focus on the peeling of skin but actually it's the end result that the peel produces that is what is important. Skin peeling is just a side-effect of the peel.

  • If you are trying to maintain your skin as is, then doing a peel every 4-6 weeks is ideal.

If you are trying to target skin concerns that you have, then it's important to get a series of peels, spaced 4-5 weeks apart. Each peel builds on each other to help achieve your skin goals.

MICRONEEDLING

  • Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure that uses tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin.

When the skin starts the healing process, it repairs itself by making more collagen.

  • It can be effective in treating or improving the following:

    Acne scars

    Fine lines and wrinkles

    Hyperpigmentation

    Uneven skin texture

  • The treatment involves dermaplaning, to get rid of the layer of dead skin that covers the epidermis.

Then a numbing cream is placed on your skin to numb the surface and to minimize any discomfort you might experience. Then a topical serum in used to glide the microneedling pen over your skin. Once your skin has been microneedled, we apply a stemcell serum, which helps your skin heal faster.

  • After your treatment, you skin can be red up to 24-72-hours afterwards. Your provider will give you aftercare to help heal and nourish your skin after your treatment.
